More Performance: myGHL Server Migration
The continuously growing GHL community and new features are generating increasing traffic for our myGHL cloud service.
In order to be optimally prepared for future demands and a steadily growing number of users, and to be able to offer an even better online experience for your GHL products, we have set up a brand new myGHL infrastructure. myGHL is moving to a new server that offers better performance and scalability. In addition, all myGHL-compatible devices have been prepared for this, with updated device and WiFi module firmware.
All of these changes combined – new server, new devices, and WiFi firmware – bring a noticeable performance improvement, making communication even faster and more robust.
How can you use the new server?
It’s quite simple: update your device and/or WiFi module to the minimum versions listed below and use the latest GHL Connect. After the update, your GHL product will automatically attempt to connect to the new server. If this fails, it will revert to the previous server as a fallback solution.
There is nothing else to do, the transition to the new infrastructure will happen automatically.
In order to give you enough time for the transition and to avoid downtime, both servers will be operated in parallel by us for a transitional period, after which the old server will be deactivated. Please update soon to benefit from better performance and avoid service interruptions.
If you have been referred to this article in our knowledge base, it is likely because your GHL device is still using the previous infrastructure due to outdated firmware.

For the use of the new myGHL infrastructure, a minimum version of the WiFi module and/or the GHL device is required, and GHL Connect needs to be updated.
