The ION Director EXT IL PnP System is a fully pre-configured Industrial Line solution for automated measurement and control of calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, and nitrate — designed for professional aquaculture, research, and advanced marine aquarium installations where a standalone Doser or ProfiLux controller is already in place. Everything is pre-selected, matched, and pre-assembled — no sourcing decisions, no assembly required.
The system combines an ION Director IL and a Doser 3 EXT IL in a single IP54-rated Industrial Line enclosure. The ION Director IL continuously measures the five key marine water parameters using GHL’s patented multi-ion sensor with ion-selective technology — no reagents required, only cost-effective reference liquids. It automatically adjusts dosing quantities via the Doser pump channels to keep parameters stable. As an extension unit, the Doser 3 EXT IL has no integrated controller and requires a controlling device connected via PAB: a Doser 3 SA IL, Doser SA IL, Doser Maxi SA IL, Doser 3 Maxi SA IL, or a ProfiLux controller (ProfiLux IL, ProfiLux 4, or ProfiLux 4e). The controlling device manages both the Doser 3 EXT IL and the ION Director IL via PAB.
The Doser 3 EXT IL features GHL’s PrecisionDrive technology — a custom-developed combination of 24V stepper motors and planetary gears, engineered and manufactured in-house — with 4 peristaltic pump channels, 0.1 mL resolution, and up to 250 micro doses per day. One 24V/2.5A power supply is included — the ION Director IL draws power from the Doser’s supply via its included splitter cable. The GHL Logo Frontpanel IL and blanking panels complete the front of the enclosure. Pre-assembly is included: all units are mounted, PAB cabling is wired, and the logo frontpanel is connected. The power supply is not connected during pre-assembly.
