Summary #
Light Scenarios let you define fixed lighting states โ each scenario sets any combination of Illumination channels to a specific brightness or marks them as not involved. Scenarios can be activated instantly or with a fade in and out, and run either for a set duration or until manually stopped. This is useful for demonstrations, testing a lighting look, or quickly switching to a predefined state without changing the underlying schedule.

Configuration #
Open Light Scenarios via Illumination โ Light scenarios.
Setting Up a Scenario #
Each scenario defines a brightness value for each Illumination channel โ either a fixed value between 0% and 100%, or not involved (the channel is unaffected while the scenario runs).
- GHL Control Center: A table lists all scenarios as columns and all channels as rows. For each cell, pick Not involved or a brightness value.
- GHL Connect: Select a scenario from the list, then set each channel individually under LED color channels โ enable the checkbox to mark it as involved and use the slider to set its brightness.
Duration and Fade #
These settings apply to all scenarios, not just the one currently selected:
- (Max.) duration: How long a scenario stays active before stopping automatically. Set to 0 for no timeout โ the scenario then runs until stopped manually.
- Fade duration: The time used to smoothly fade in when a scenario starts, and fade out when it ends.
Running a Scenario #
Each scenario has a start button. Once active, the remaining time is shown. In GHL Control Center, all scenario buttons are visible below the table at once; in GHL Connect, the button appears on the detail page of the selected scenario.
Notes #
- Channels marked as Not involved continue running their normal Illumination schedule while the scenario is active โ only channels explicitly included in the scenario are overridden.
