In early October our security service reported suspicious observations: our company building in Kaiserslautern was glowing a striking blue at night. We asked you what was going on, and many of you sent in an answer. Thank you to everyone who took part. Here are the three options again, the answer, and the draw.
The three options
A) The first working fusion reactor
Clean energy for the whole of Kaiserslautern, straight from the foyer.
B) 24/7 endurance test of 3 × Mitras LX8
Three luminaires, continuous operation, one very bright foyer.
C) A new type of rocket propulsion
The foyer does look like a launch pad at night.
The answer
B) 24/7 endurance test of 3 × Mitras LX8
Three Mitras LX8 are running in the foyer of our building, day and night. An endurance test like this proves hardware and firmware under real operating conditions before deliveries begin. The side effect: the foyer is extremely bright, and the blue light is visible from the street all night long. No fusion reactor, no rocket propulsion. Not this time.
The draw
Three winners were drawn at random from all correct entries. Press start and watch.
