Backup & Restore #
Backup files use the .par file format. Two types of data can be backed up separately: settings (all device configuration) and sensor data (calibration data and sensor operation hour meters โ other sensor settings are included in the regular settings backup; ProfiLux only).
A backup can only be restored to a device of the same model family โ a ProfiLux 4 backup cannot be restored to a ProfiLux 3, and a ProfiLux backup cannot be restored to a Doser or Mitras LX.
GHL Control Center #
Select Backup and restore from the top menu bar. Three options are available:
- Transmit all settings from [device] to file: Saves all device settings to a .par file. Available for ProfiLux, GHL Doser, and Mitras LX.
- Transmit all sensor data from ProfiLux to file: Saves sensor calibration data and sensor operation hour meters to a separate .par file. Available for ProfiLux models only.
- Transmit from file to [device]: Restores settings or sensor data from a selected .par file. Available for ProfiLux, GHL Doser, and Mitras LX.
GHL Connect App #
Navigate to System and tap Load and save settings from or to this device. A wizard opens where you choose between Backup and Restore.
- Backup: Automatically saves both settings and sensor data as two separate .par files.
- Restore: Select a .par file to restore settings or sensor data from.
Factory Reset #
A factory reset restores all device settings to their default values. Note that network configuration and SMTP settings are not affected by a factory reset โ see Reset Network Settings below if those need to be cleared separately.
In GHL Control Center, select Extras โ Default settings from the top menu bar.
Factory reset is not yet available in the GHL Connect App.
Reset Network Settings #
Network configuration and SMTP settings can be reset independently of a full factory reset.
- GHL Control Center: Navigate to System โ Communication and click Reset network settings.
- Hardware button: On supported devices (including ProfiLux 4.1 and ProfiLux Mini / Light WiFi 2), press and hold the reset button for 3 seconds to reset the network configuration.
Reset network settings is not yet available in the GHL Connect App.
