132 LEDs, 250 W, wide coverage.
Six clusters of 22 high-power LEDs each, pushed to the outer edges of the fixture for even distribution. At a 60 cm mounting distance the LX8 holds an SPS-suitable 200 µmol/m²/s or more across a circle roughly 95 cm in diameter; for LPS and mixed reef setups, the area above 100 µmol/m²/s reaches roughly 125 cm. TRDT™ reflector optics give each LED its own microreflector for uniform color blending and deep penetration — without the “disco effect” of lens-based fixtures.
Genuinely flicker-free.
The LX8 dims by analog constant current — not PWM — so the light stays steady at every brightness, with no pulsing and no banding in photos or video. Twelve color channels plus a dedicated moonlight channel resolve down to 0.025% steps for smooth transitions, and Auto Power Balancing keeps the fixture within its limits whatever spectrum you set. Each LED runs at roughly half its rated current, which keeps efficiency high and gives an L80 lifetime beyond 100,000 hours.
Standalone, or part of a bigger system.
Run the LX8 on its own, let one fixture act as Master for several others, or add it as a Slave to a ProfiLux ecosystem. A dedicated radio link handles fixture-to-fixture communication, so multi-light setups stay in sync without loading your home WiFi. Control everything from the GHL Connect app, any web browser, or a PC via GHL Control Center — locally on your own network, or remotely through the optional myGHL cloud.
Ambient Glow.
A continuous RGB strip runs around the full perimeter of the LX8 — a finishing accent on the fixture itself. Let it follow the average color of the main LEDs, fix it to a color of your choice, or — with a ProfiLux — use it as a status indicator that shows normal operation, dosing, or an alarm at a glance.
