The ProfiLux IL brings the full ProfiLux 4 feature set to professional installations. Identical hardware and ProfiLuxOS firmware as the standard ProfiLux 4 – packaged in a 15HU aluminum slide-in housing designed for rack and cabinet mounting in aquaculture facilities, research laboratories, and public aquariums.
Integrated sensor modules measure and regulate pH, temperature, redox/ORP, and conductivity – switchable between freshwater and saltwater. All measurement channels are built in and ready for probe connection from day one. ProfiLuxOS handles alarm management, datalogging, automatic water change, and level and flow monitoring on a purpose-built real-time operating system designed from the ground up with one priority: keeping your aquarium safe.
32 independently controllable illumination channels simulate natural lighting conditions – including cloud cover, lunar cycles, storm events, and seasonal light programs – creating the stable, species-specific environment that supports animal health and behavior. 16 stream and return pump channels provide precise flow management, while 32 dosing channels handle automated supplement dosing.
The front panel offers a graphical display with navigation keys and WiFi and alarm status LEDs for immediate on-site feedback – no app required for basic monitoring. Built-in WiFi and USB connect the ProfiLux IL to GHL Connect and GHL Control Center, both of which operate fully locally without any cloud dependency or internet requirement. LAN connectivity is available via the optional PLM-WiFiLAN expansion card.
Three expansion card slots and dual PAB ports enable system growth without hardware replacement – adding sensor inputs via the Expansion Box IL, integrating a KH Director or ION Director, or connecting Powerbars and Dosers across multi-system installations. Built and developed in Germany, the ProfiLux IL carries the engineering depth trusted by aquarists and institutions for decades.
With expansion card slots and PAB support, the ProfiLux IL scales to meet the demands of any installation – from a single tank to multi-system facilities. Combine it with the Expansion Box IL for additional sensor inputs, interfaces, and expansion capacity.
An optional GHL Logo Frontpanel IL (5HU) can be connected to the unit’s RGB logo port for visual system status indication.
Note: Power supply (12V) is not included and must be ordered separately. This allows the same unit to be deployed worldwide without country-specific variants.
